Kids get first doses of H1N1 nasal spray in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD -- The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is administering its first doses of H1N1 nasal spray to children. They're being given to kids at the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Clinic in the Jordan Valley Community Health Center on Tuesday.

Health experts enouraging young people and pregnant women to get vaccinated against the virus but pregnant women should only get the shots.

The health department addressed concerns raised about the vaccination. It's taking phone calls on Tuesday from those who want to know where to get H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines.
