SPRINGFIELD -- City leaders, police officers and firefighters are celebrating a big win at the polls. By a 10-percent margin, voters on Tuesday approved a 3/4-percent sales tax to bolster the pension fund.

Mayor Jim O'Neal joined Ozarks Today on Wednesday morning to talk about the future of the pension fund after this vote. You can see the interview by clicking on the video player.

The sales tax will start in April but the pension fund probably won't see its first revenue from it until June.
