Springfield, Mo. -- Celebrating 25 years of life saving service in the Ozarks sky. This weekend marks the silver anniversary for St. John's life line medical flights. The helicopters reduce response times by 20 minutes. St. John's has choppers stationed in St. Robert, Branson West and Bolivar.

"Where you used to have to look on a map, now you can punch in some numbers on a GPS and land in your front yard. It's that stuff we take for granted everyday. Although the technology was there in 84, it was very cumbersome," said DJ Satterfield, St. John's Life Life Director.

The 25th anniversary ceremony is open to everyone. It's Friday night at 5pm at University Plaza.
