SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- It wasn't exactly chili weather, but that didn't keep dozens of people from getting their fill at Casper's downtown Springfield. The sheet metal mainstay on Walnut street is celebrating 100 years in business this weekend. Known for its charm, close quarters, and cheap food, Casper's still draws a line out the door around lunchtime.

And after a century, brand new customers keep coming. "I've lived here off and on for 30 something years and never been here. Heard about it!" And the verdict? "Love it," said Cheryl Poole!

In celebration of 100 years, Casper's is open late tonight, until 9pm. Tomorrow afternoon, they'll be having a celebration out there with bands, discounts on the chili from 10:30am to 4:30.
