SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are looking for suspects in an armed robbery and shooting near Broadway Avenue at State Street on Monday night. Officers say two men were walking down the street when they were approached by three other men who asked for their money. Investigators say two of the robbers had guns.
"As they were running away they fired off multiple rounds, not at the people, but into the air," said Springfield Police Lt. Kevin Grizzell. "We've had at least two houses that have been struck."
The robbers got away with the victims' wallets.
