SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Since last semester, the enrollment at Cox College has increased roughly 30 percent. Thirty-five students began an accelerated nursing program in January.

The students will attend school fulltime for 16 months. They attend class during the week but others go to school on the weekends. Cox added that program to accommodate a wide range of students.

The growth spurt likely will continue. Cox is preparing for enrollment to increase another 10 percent. The college plans for 630 students next term.
