On April 6, 2012 Cpl. Brad Loveless and Deputy Nathan Long arrested Cody B. Bowers age 18 and  Emily A. Kasinger age 18 both of Mt. Home Arkansas for several drug violations.
The arrest stemmed after Cpl. Loveless made a traffic stop on the vehicle for going the wrong way around the Ava Square. Upon approaching the vehicle, Deputy Long observed the passenger Bowers reaching under the passenger seat attempting to hide  something. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting form within the vehicle as Deputies were speaking with the duo.<br/>
Subsequently, Deputies seized marijuana,  prescription pills, marijuana pipes, an two separate container that contained  a large amount of MDMA or more commonly known as ¿Molly¿ or¿ Ecstasy¿.<br/>
 Both subjects were arrested and place on a 24 hour hold and warrants were obtained for  Emily Kasinger for  Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana and her bond was set at $17,000 which was posted on April 7, 2012.<br/>
Warrants were obtained for Cody Bowers for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor charges for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia his bond was set at $19,000 which was posted on April 7, 2012.<br/>
Sheriff Degase advised this was the largest quality of Ecstasy seized in Douglas County that he is aware of.  Sheriff Degase commends the work of Deputies Loveless and Long for utilizing their training and not just treating this as a ¿routine¿ traffic stop, which resulted in removing several grams of Ecstasy from the streets.<br/>
