( Al Seib / Los Angeles Times ) Butterbeer for all! James and Oliver Phelps, the Weasley twins from the Harry Potter films, were among those who celebrated when Universal Studios Hollywood and Warner Bros. announced plans to open the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the aging Hollywood amusement park. The attraction already exists at Universal Studios in Florida. California Gov. Jerry Brown and top officials from Warner and Universal promised thousands of new jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in construction spending on the new West Coast attraction. But Muggles shouldn't head down to the Leaky Cauldron to celebrate just yet -- the attraction will not be opening before 2016. |
