Harrison McIntosh ceramics

The Harrison McIntosh lamp base in the LAMA auction was exhibited at "Common Ground: Ceramics in Southern California 1945-1975," a Pacific Standard Time exhibition at the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona. It's estimated at $1,500 to $2,000. Loughrey considers it a good buy, given that it's an exhibited piece, an early McIntosh work in mint condition. "Trust me, I've been doing this 20 years," he says, putting McIntosh's ceramics in perspective. "They will get scarce and prices will go up."
