MAGNA, Utah (KTLA) -- Six people are behind bars after allegedly torturing their roommate with power tools.
Police in Magna say the group kidnapped the victim at gunpoint on Saturday.
They are then accused of handcuffing the man and binding his feet.
According to investigators the violence began with punching, but soon escalated to hours of torture with a variety of weapons and tools.
The suspects are accused of stapling the man's ears and lips and using a Dremel tool to cut him.
The alleged attack lasted all night.
The suspects are Paula Masters, 43, David Masters, 55, Jennifer Moses, 30, Lee Moses, 26, Tracey Jordan, 45, and Brandon Haggard, 20.
Police said the suspects feared the victim was responsible for recent thefts against other members of the household.
The group allegedly stopped torturing him when they realized the victim hadn't done anything wrong.
He was released and ran to his sister's home where he called police.
Police said the injured roommate is in stable condition and is expected to recover.
