Stone County seeks man charged for meth found in home

By Gene Hartley

GALENA, Mo. -- The Stone County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man who may have been selling methamphetamine and marijuana from his home.  Robert Delong is charged with possession of meth and could face more charges.

According to a news release, deputies served a search warrant on Delong’s home at 78 Pepper Lane in the Trace Hollow area on Sept. 21.  No one was at home but searchers found a Mossberg shotgun, digital scales and plastic bags for packaging controlled substance.

They also found “a small amount of what was believed to be Methamphetamine, and paperwork belonging to the occupant of the residence.  Also inside the home a Sentry safe was located.  The Missouri State Water Patrol brought over their narcotics dog, which alerted on the safe.  At that time, the safe was seized,” according to the news release.

After getting another search warrant this week, investigators looked inside the safe and found “approximately 3¼ pounds of marijuana in brick form, approximately 150 grams of suspected Methamphetamine (some packaged for sale)” and $4,700 in cash.

Anyone with information about Delong can call the Stone County Sheriff’s Office at (417) 357-6116.
