One robber may have hit four stores in a week

SPRINGFIELD -- Between Jan. 8 and Sunday, four robberies occurred in the city that police think might have been committed by the same man. Police released surveillance camera photos from one robbery on Tuesday in hopes someone might recognize him.

The robberies were on Jan. 8 at 9:37 a.m. at Little Caesars’ Pizza, 615, S. Scenic Ave.; the same day at 9:41 a.m. at Go Convenience, 811 E. Division St.; Jan. 12 at 9:23 a.m. at Rapid Roberts, 3165 N. Glenstone Ave.; and Jan. 13 at 9:30 .m. at Village Mart, 1450 N. Glenstone Ave.

The robber’s description in each case is similar: white, 40-50 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, 150 to 170 pounds, gray/brown (salt & pepper) goatee, beard and hair.

Springfield police ask anyone who knows about the robberies or the robber to call (417) 864-1810. An anonymous tip can be made at 417-869-TIPS.
