Police seek help in finding burglar who robbed Smoker's Outlet

CRIME STOPPERS and the Springfield Police Department are asking for help in identifying the robber of Smoker’s Outlet, 1446 E. Kearney St., on Dec. 31 at approximately 2:12 a.m. A man entered the unoccupied business and stole items from inside the business.

Entry into the business was through a hole that the burglar cut into the rear, outer wall of the business.

The burglar is white, average build, and average weight. He had a dark goatee and mustache and was wearing glasses. The burglar was wearing a dark “hoodie," blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and gloves. Photographs were obtained of the burglar through the business’ surveillance video system.

CRIME STOPPERS and the Springfield Police Department are also asking for help in identifying the burglar at 2919 W. Kearney St. between Dec. 22 and Dec. 26. Someone stole several rolls or spools of copper wiring in varying gauges and lengths. The burglar also entered a building at the location and stole additional amounts of wiring. There was no description provided for the burglar, and no photographs are available.
