CRIME STOPPERS and the Springfield Police Department are asking for help in identifying an armed robber at Advanced Key, 2240 N. Grant Ave, on Jan. 2 at 6:11 p.m. A man entered the business, displayed a handgun, and took a lock box containing receipts and money from the business.

The robber is white, about 25, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, and about 200 pounds. The robber was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a dark stocking cap.

The robber displayed a silver semi-automatic handgun. No photographs are available for the suspect in this incident.

The robber had a Chevy Lumina key made at the business shortly before the robbery. The suspect left the store after the key was made, and he returned a short time later and robbed the business.
