Police seek tips on burglar at Reed Middle School

Crime Stoppers and the Springfield Police Department want help in identifying a burglar at Reed Middle School, 2000 N. Lyon Ave., at about 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. The burglar entered the school on the east side of the building by breaking a window. He took items from an office and then left the school through the gym.

The burglar wore dark pants, a dark sweatshirt with hood, gloves and a mask over the lower portion of his face.

Anybody with information can call Crime Stoppers at (417) 869-TIPS (8477) or go online (see link below). Tipsters do not have to give their name and could earn a reward.

Crime Stoppers takes information about drug dealers, wanted felons, and all other felony crimes. It pays rewards up to $1,000 in cash for the information that leads to the arrest and the filing of charges against people involved in felonies.
