By Gene Hartley

SPRINGFIELD -- Police are looking for help in finding a man who robbed a gas station in central Springfield last Thursday night. The robbery was about 9 p.m. at Gas Plus, 329 S. Glenstone Ave.

Police say the robber wore a camouflage jacket and pants and a ski mask. A clerk told police that the robber demanded money, brandished a handgun, grabbed a cash bag from the counter, and ran away.

The clerk describes the robber as white, about 5-foot-9, 120 pounds and possibly in his 20s.

Anyone with information can call police at (417) 864-1810 or anonymously at 869-TIPS (Crime Stoppers). Tips that lead to an arrest and conviction are eligible for cash awards.
