Police seek burglar who robbed Smoker's Outlet for second time

By Gene Hartley

SPRINGFIELD -- Crime Stoppers and Springfield police ask for help identifying a burglar who robbed Smoker’s Outlet at 1446 E. Kearney St. on March 10. The burglary was between midnight and 1:25 a.m.

The robber entered the business through a hole cut in the rear outer wall and stole tobacco products. Police believe he also burglarized the business on Dec. 31.

The robber is white and has dark hair, a moustache and a goatee. He wore glasses and a dark “hoodie”-style jacket with the hood down and sleeves rolled up. A store surveillance camera got video of him.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (417) 869-TIPS (8477) or make a report online. Tipsters may remain anonymous and still earn rewards if their tips lead to arrests and charges.
