REEDS SPRING, Mo. -- Stone County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the reported rape of a 13-year old girl. The sheriff says the girl called her mother on Friday morning and said she was raped at her home in the Barrington Oaks subdivision in Reeds Spring.

The girl described the rapist as wearing all black clothing with a black ski mask and gloves. She said the rape was between 9:37 and 10:10 a.m. She said she ran to a nearby church to call her mother.

Officers searched the neighborhood but didn’t find any clues about who the rapist is. Sheriff Richard Hill asks anyone who may have seen a something or someone suspicious in that area last Friday morning to call the sheriff's department at (417) 357-6116.
