Woman reports assault on trail near Branson park

BRANSON, Mo. -- City police say a woman from Hollister says a man attacked her on Monday evening on the walking trail by Stockstill Park. The 48-year-old woman says she was jogging on the trail between Stockstill Park and the Skaggs Orthopedic Association building on Cahill Drive when a man approached her, struck up a short conversation and then grabbed her.

After a brief struggle, the woman says she managed to escape without being hurt. The man ran into nearby woods towards Roark Creek.

The woman described her attacker as Hispanic, 25-30 years old, 5-foot-5, with a stocky build and dark wavy hair. He was wearing a white tank-top t-shirt and blue shorts.
