Greene County deputies look for farm mower thieves

SPRINGFIELD -- Crime Stoppers and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department are asking for help identifying the people who stole a farm implement last month. The theft occurred sometime in the evening on July 9 or early morning of July 10 in the 10000 block of West Farm Road 116 near Bois D’ Arc.

The victim arrived at 2:15 a.m. to start hauling hay when he noticed his red Case model 8309 9-feet disc bind mower was missing. The victim and other employees observed a suspicious vehicle cruising the area near the time and location of the theft. The vehicle was described as a red '90s Ford flat-bed truck (possibly at F350 or similar) that looked clean.
