Marshfield police nab suspect for bank robbery in Conwayby KY3 News
CONWAY, Mo. -- Marshfield police arrested a man for a bank robbery in Conway on Thursday afternoon. They say an alert citizen let them know the suspect was at a Casey's convenience store. Officers say, when they approached the 29-year-old suspect, he threw up his hands and pointed to the money from the bank.
A man with a handgun walked into Central Bank in Conway about 1 p.m. Thursday and got away with some cash. After the robbery, witnesses said, the robber drove south on Highway CC toward Niangua and Marshfield. A Missouri State Highway Patrol report says bank employees gave an excellent description of the robber, which aided in the search.
