CONWAY, Mo. -- Marshfield police arrested a man for a bank robbery in Conway on Thursday afternoon. They say an alert citizen let them know the suspect was at a Casey's convenience store. Officers say, when they approached the 29-year-old suspect, he threw up his hands and pointed to the money from the bank.
A man with a handgun walked into Central Bank in Conway about 1 p.m. Thursday and got away with some cash. After the robbery, witnesses said, the robber drove south on Highway CC toward Niangua and Marshfield.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol report says bank employees gave an excellent description of the robber, which aided in the search. The suspect's driver's license says he lives in Seneca, but his vehicle is registered in Wisconsin.
