Porkchop Hill Paintball near U.S. 65 at Highway CC was burglarized last weekend, just before the shop's busiest time -- the weekend. For this weekend, there's still no sign of the stolen goods. Without dozens of paintball guns, the theft essentially closed down the shop.

Owner Jon Wardlow believes it was a group of people who kicked in the front door and ransacked the place. The thieves grabbed some guns, and left others behind. They then hit a second building on the property, climbing through a window and stealing even more merchandise. Wardlow says the loss adds up to more than $1,000.

"The thieves made off with 17 of my 22 rental guns, which hurts business for private parties and stuff. Now kids are mad because their private parties are possibly not going to be able to happen," said Wardlow.

Wardlow says his best guess is the thieves will try to sell these guns online perhaps, on eBay or craigslist. Wardlow offers a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.

Ozark police are working the case and they were able to collect some physical evidence from the scene, a t-shirt and sock. Porkchop Hill also had some surveillance video but it didn't pick anything up that was helpful. Wardlow says he has beefed up security since the burglary.
