Doctors explore new way to find ovarian tumor

Ovarian cancer is tricky to diagnose because early symptoms, such as feeling bloated, can be misinterpreted. Now researchers are testing the accuracy of a non-invasive technology that may detect ovarian cancer early on.

Some women at high-risk for ovarian cancer resort to having their ovaries removed as a preventative measure, whether cancer is present or not. The new treatment being studied is able to determine if that surgery is really necessary. See how the technology works, and how it might help women who have to make that tough decision.
