Voters approve issues across the Ozarks

Voters approved a handful of local issues in Tuesday's elections.

NIXA SCHOOLS - YES 3,306, NO 996

BARRY COUNTY E-911 - YES 3,272, NO 1,786

Barry County voters supported an one-eighth percent sales tax to support the county's 911 center. Voters had previously rejected the tax in November. Nearly 28 percent of registered voters in the county cast a ballot Tuesday.

LACLEDE COUNTY TAX CONTINUATION - YES 2,243, NO 1,207

Laclede County voters approved continuing a one-half percent sales tax for law enforcement and maintaining county roads.

WILLARD SALES TAX - YES 355, NO 249

Voters in Willard approved continuing a half-cent sales tax for city services.

REPUBLIC SALES TAX - YES 729, NO 420

REPUBLIC FEE SCHEDULE - YES 605, NO 516

Republic voters backed two issues: one to continue a sales tax for stormwater improvements; the other to change the impact fee collection rate for developers.
