YELLVILLE, Ark. -- A man from Mountain Home is in custody after investigators say he was engaged in illegal pornographic activities on the Internet. Marion County deputies arrested Steven Aldridge, 37, on suspicion of computer child pornography and internet stalking of a child.
Aldridge's arrest is a result of an undercover investigation, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Department. Investigators say Aldridge engaged in sexually explicit Internet chats and shared pornographic images of himself with someone whom he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. The photos were sent over the Internet and cell phone.
Deputies say Aldridge arranged a meeting with the girl at a business in Yellville, where he was then arrested. Aldridge was in the Marion County Jail on Monday in lieu of a $35,000 bond.
