SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Sixty soldiers left Springfield early Wednesday morning for a mission in Afghanistan.
The 180th Military Police Detachment deployed from the Springfield-Branson National Airport. They are part of a newly formed unit that has never been activated in the past. They will command military working dogs and their handlers.
