BRANSON, Mo. -- Residents of Taney County affected by the tornado on Tuesday night need to be aware of some regulations when attempting removal or burning of debris from their property.
- If you live in an unincorporated area of Taney County, you may burn vegetative materials without a permit as long as the debris comes from your property. It must be burned on your property, but fire safety actions are observed.
- Burning should not be attempted in high wind situations and you should be present at all times with the means to control the fire until extinguished.
- Metal and electronics materials can be taken to Hollister Recycling Center for recycling. It will not take household, construction materials, cardboard or glass waste. It takes debris only during normal working hours: Mon-Sat, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Its address is 2487 Business 65, Hollister. Its telephone number is (417) 334-6244.
Representatives from all affected municipalities and counties will meet to determine the best way to remove the remaining debris.
