HERCULANEUM, Mo.-- An Ozark family is hoping someone can shed new light on a cold case from nearly 40 years ago.
Geneva Adams was 53 years old when she went missing from a lounge in Herculaneum, Missouri, not far fromSt. Louis.
She had 10 children, who have been waiting for answers for 36 years.
Investigators say Jimmy Lee Mills was the last person to see Geneva. He's been a person of interest in this case, another missing woman case, along with a rape case and had weapons charges.
Mills is currently in a Virginia federal prison.
Adams' family hopes someone in the Springfield area might be able to help solve what happened to Geneva Adams.
"It's like you're putting a 50-thousand piece puzzle together and you get to the end and that center piece, which mom was the center piece, that piece is missing and you can't find it, and you're looking, looking, looking everywhere for it," said Steve Crump, Adam's son.
The case is now in the hands of the Herculaneum Police department.
Police say in July, they thought they had a new lead on the case... one that led nowhere.
