Church fills part of void left by food pantry closing on Commercial Street in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Kitchen’s food pantry served needy people for decades. More than 3,000 people every month depended on it but managers closed its doors for good right before last Springfield. Now a nearby church is stepping up to help those left behind.
