FAIR GROVE, Mo.-- The Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash one mile south of Fair Grove.
It happened along U.S. 65, near Shelby Road around 2:00a.m. Saturday morning.
According to the crash report, the crash occurred as Krystal Cook, 22, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. 65. Her Chevy Silverado veered off the west edge of the northbound lanes into the median. Cook over-corrected, returned to the northbound lanes of the roadway and struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee head-on. Darrel Wilson, 23, was driving that Jeep, and was killed.
After impact, Cook slid off the east side of the northbound lanes and struck a tree. Wilson slid off the east side of the northbound lanes and overturned onto the left side, partially ejecting him.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene. Cook has serious injuries.
