GALENA, Mo. -- One of two men charged with running a dog fighting operation in Stone County pleaded guilty to the charges on Thursday. Online court documents show Jon Stingley, 42, received a suspended four-year prison sentence with conditions added to his probation.
Stingley, along with Keith Owens, were arrested in 2010 following an undercover investigation. Owens is serving four years probation after entering an Alford plea, which means he didn't admit guilty but conceded prosecutors had enough evidence to convict him.
