SPRINGFIELD, Mo - Leong's Asian Diner is releasing its cashew chicken sauce to several Ozarks grocery stores. The retail venture has been two years in the making.
Wing Wah Leong, son of founder David Leong, says the 50 year old Springfield tradition will be at Hyvee, PriceCutter, Harter House and Murphin's starting March 9.
If the cashew chicken sauce sells well, the restaurant plans to release eight or nine other sauces. Egg rolls are in the works as well.
