Small plane crash kills one, injures two at Downtown Airport in Springfield MO

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A woman died and two others -- a man and a woman -- are hospitalized after a small plane crashed about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday while it was trying to land at the private Downtown Airport.  The crash was at the west end of the runway.  The plane burned after the crash, sending thick black smoke into the air.
