SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of the Ozarks.
The watch begins Thursday afternoon, lasting into Friday. The counties include Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Laclede, Lawrence, Oregon, Ozark, Polk, Shannon, St. Clair, Stone (MO), Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright Counties.
Heavy snow is possible in a line from Nevada to Springfield to West Plains.
