SPRINGFIELD -- Family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers said goodbye to a Greene County sheriff’s deputy who was killed in the line of duty early Saturday. Gary McCormack’s funeral was Tuesday afternoon at Second Baptist Church.
McCormack, 32, died in a crash in northern Greene County when he was hit by a Ebenezer volunteer firefighter. Both were rushing toward a reported traffic accident.
