VERONA, Mo. -- A tornado damaged a lumber mill owned by an Amish family and leveled a barn in southeast Lawrence County, about two miles north of Verona on Highway P, between Aurora and Mount Vernon early Wednesday evening. The storm struck just before 6 p.m. as a line of severe thunderstorms roared through the Ozarks.

Other damage to some houses and a barn is reported in the same area. Power lines are also down on Highway K and Highway FF.

The video in the window is an eyewitness report via telephone.
