Tornado Survivors Save Memories

By Gene Hartley

Lawrence County, Mo: It will take weeks for some tornado victims in Lawrence County to get their lives back to normal. A tornado packing 135-mile per hour winds touched down north of Verona.

It traveled 11-miles to the Chesapeake area.. damaging and destroying nine homes.. a lumber mill.. and several barns.

When a tornado touched down just north of Aurora, it lifted Amy and James Butlers' mobile home off the ground and scattered their personal belongings. While they lost most everything...their focus now is on their kids and how to help them deal with the aftermath of what the storm left behind. Abby Wuellner reports, the storms didn't wipe out the spirits of those who have lost so much.
