SPRINGFIELD -- Thursday was quite a day for students at Boyd Elementary School. They were about to wrap up before the Christmas holiday when teachers led the students into the library for a lesson in giving that they won't soon forget.
The faces, screams and room full of bikes told the story.
The 170 brand new bikes are a Christmas gift to every student at the school, kindergarten through fifth grade. It was a surprise so big that it was overwhelming.
Nearby Central Assembly of God bought the bikes and volunteers put them together to make this possible. Attorney Aaron Sachs donated helmets.
Now all these students can ride in style, knowing what it's like to receive -- and be grateful.
