THIS WEEKEND:
Storms will return to the region as early as Saturday afternoon and evening. Heavy, flooding rains will be possible on Sunday, Monday and end early Tuesday.
With recent flash flooding and river flooding, in addition to an already saturated soil, and lakes and reservoirs that have been topped off... flash flooding will be a major concern with any additional rainfall this weekend.
Severe weather is possible Sunday night into Monday morning. Threats include large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes once again.
Meanwhile, monthly rainfall totals remain at near-record levels. March precipitation as of midnight Thursday was #5 in the Top 5 Wettest Marchs. Yet, the 4 higher ranked periods were within 1" of our current total of 8.16". Any additional rain could easily break the record... for the second month in a row.
