Sheryl Crow does seat belt PSA aimed at teen drivers

By Gene Hartley

KENNETT, Mo. -- Sheryl Crow, a native of southeast Missouri, is lending her name to an effort to reduce death and injuries to teen drivers.

The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and musician from Kennett is featured in a public service announcement encouraging teens to use seatbelts and arrive at their destinations safely.

In the PSA, Crow talks about some of her best memories as a teenager, including basketball games, prom and hanging out with friends.

Crow advises teens, "Don't let your fun be cut short. Safety belts save lives. Make them a habit."

The radio spot has been sent to stations across Missouri.
