JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Big bucks could start flowing to Missouri politicians again, just in time for the fall elections. Lawmakers gave final approval on Friday to legislation that would repeal Missouri's campaign contribution limits.
If signed by Gov. Matt Blunt, politicians could take contributions of unlimited amounts beginning Aug. 28.
This is the second time that Missouri lawmakers have voted to repeal contribution limits. The Missouri Supreme Court struck down a law passed in 2006 that lifted the limits after they’d been in effect for about six months.
