OSAGE COUNTY, Mo. -

Two people were killed, four others injured, after two boats collided on the Gasconade River in Osage County Saturday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1999 Gator jet boat and a 1991 Alumaweld jet boat struck one another nearly head on while traveling through a narrow passage on the river, one mile downstream from the Paradise Lane.

The patrol's report states Larry Hennier, 48, of Rich Fountain, and Mary Talken, 25 of Jefferson City, were taken to area hospitals where they were pronounced dead.

The injuries of the other occupants ranged from minor to serious.
