Free health clinic opens July 1 in Polk County

BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The Polk County Health Department and Citizens Memorial Healthcare will soon offer options for those residents with no health coverage when it opens a free health clinic on July 1. The clinic will be at the Polk County Health Center and will be open from 5 - 7 p.m. on Tuesdays only.

The free clinic is only for Polk County residents with no Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid managed care or any other health insurance coverage. Patients must schedule appointments by calling 417-326-7250. A limited number of appointments will be scheduled each week; with patients with appointments arriving at 5 p.m. and being seen in the order that they arrive.

This free health clinic is a collaborative effort among Polk County Health Department, Citizens Memorial Healthcare, Bolivar Technical College, Bolivar High School, area physicians, local pharmacies and volunteers.

The clinic will not dispense or prescribe any narcotics. For more information or to make an appointment, call (417) 326-7250.
