WARSAW, Mo. -- The search for the body of a 22-year-old man from Osage Beach is hampered by strong currents. Bradley Burns disappeared from a dock on the west side of Lake of the Ozarks early Wednesday.

The Missouri State Water Patrol says the flood gates are open at nearby Truman Lake dam, making scanning and dragging difficult.

Two friends last saw Burns fishing around 2 a.m. Wednesday on a community dock. The two left and didn't see Burns enter the water.

Water Patrol spokesman Lou Amighetti says alcohol is suspected as a factor in the drowning. Burns was a swimmer but was not wearing a personal floatation device.
