Pregnant women are accused of soliciting prostitution

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- Deputies with the Camden County Special Operations Unit and officers with the Lake Ozark Police Department arrested four women for prostitution. The arrests were the result of an undercover sting operation conducted at a hotel near Lake Ozark.

The sting operation was conducted after the sheriff's department received several reports that pregnant women were advertising prostitution on an Internet site. One arrested woman is eight months pregnant; another is six months pregnant, and another is three months pregnant.

The women range in age from 18 to 22 years old. The four women were booked at the county jail and released pending the filing of formal charges. One arrested woman has outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions and was kept at the jail.
