HOLLISTER, Mo. -- Town police are looking for two people who they say abducted a 71-year-old man at gunpoint from the White River Valley apartment complex. A neighbor of the victim called police about the abduction about 8:20 Sunday evening.
Police say the abductors approached the victim as he was getting out of his car, forced him back in the car, and then got in themselves, with one of the abductors driving the car away. Forty minutes later, the victim called the Branson Police Department to say the abductors had dropped him off behind Dixie Stampede.
The victim said one of the two abductors had a small revolver. He said they didn’t hurt him.
Police think the abductors are still driving the stolen car, a red 2008 (not 1990 as previously reported) Pontiac Grand Prix with Missouri license plates 894-KTK.
Anybody who's seen the car can contact police. The Hollister Police Department is (417) 334-6565.
The victim and a witness describe one abductor as black, about six feet tall, wearing a white t-shirt and having a tattoo on the right side of his neck. The description of the other abductor is black, in his early 20s, about 5-foot-6.
