For over a month, the Nixa Police Department's had at its disposal, leadsonline, an online trial program that helped them track stolen items sold at pawn shops.

When the 30-day trial expired, so did the department's leads on stolen property.

This week, Nixa's Community Foundation stepped in to help paying for a year's subscription for the department.

"Of course we're very happy," Detective Jason Hartsell from Nixa P.D. said, "and it's always great to live in a community that cares about law enforcement and things like that, you know, and we wouldn't have been able to do it this year because of our budget, and next year hopefully we'll be able to pick it back up ourselves."

A one-year subscription is just over $1,000.
