Two men face charges for carjacking in Hollister

FORSYTH, Mo. -- Two men from St. Louis are charged with a carjacking in Hollister on July 20. Police believe Antonio Murphy Jr. and Shawn Bailey abducted Bob Russell, 71, from the parking lot of White River Mountain Apartments and let him out in Branson behind Dixie Stampede Theater. They left with his 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Murphy is charged with first-degree robbery, felonious restraint, tampering with a motor vehicle and armed criminal action. Bailey is charged with first-degree robbery and felonious restraint.

Hollister police say Murphy was wanted for crimes in St. Louis and is in jail there. Bailey is charged for a robbery in Springfield on June 22 and is in the Greene County jail.
