SPRINGFIELD -- It comes as no surprise that many motorcycle training classes are filling up with new riders. 10 people lost their lives this year in motorcycle crashes and that's only within Springfield.
Out of the 12 students in class this weekend, only two of them have any riding experience at all.
"I don't think cautious would get it. I am scared. But that's why I'm taking the course," said student Glenda Wilcox.
It was Wilcox's first day on a bike. She turns 65 on Sunday.
"It's fun, it's a lot of fun!" she said.
If you are interested in taking a motorcycle training class, you can call Ozarks Technical Community College to try to get in , or get on a waiting list. You can also go to www.mmsp.org. There you will find immediate openings for classes around the area.
