Troopers arrest Springfield police officer in Pulaski County

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. -- Springfield Police Officer Joseph Motte was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, two counts of possession of a firearm while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of careless and imprudent driving. The Missouri State Highway Patrol made the arrest in Pulaski County.

Springfield Police will only comment that there is an internal investigation.
